What Blue Tea has live
The largest channel, bigger than the website. Discovery, order status and reorder in one persistent thread.
Storefront discovery, matching a described health goal to a pack size.
Social discovery from a heavily creative-led feed.
Multi-step follow-up on order status, cancellations and the delivery questions that dominate the post-purchase queue.
Blue Tea makes caffeine-free flower and herbal infusions (butterfly pea, hibiscus, chamomile) sold on functional benefits such as gut health, sleep and weight management. Founded in 2018 by Sunil Chandra Saha and Nitesh Singh, the brand appeared on Shark Tank India, works with over 200 small farmers, and states 30 lakh customers across 11 countries. Sold direct from bluetea.co.in and internationally on Amazon, Blue Tea runs three conversational channels on YourLio AI.
Challenge: a functional product where the honest answer is "a few weeks"
Blue Tea does not sell tea, it sells outcomes. That produces a question load unlike any other beverage brand. The recorded themes are precise: targeted belly-fat weight loss drives cart additions, timing and the daily cup schedule is a repeated purchase blocker, and health conditions like thyroid, prolactin, PCOD and breastfeeding require safety confidence before anyone buys.
Product Discovery was the largest intent at over 14,000 chats, larger than Product Info. Shoppers arrive with a problem, not a product, and have to be matched to one. The recorded objection is the hard one: uncertainty about results timing, and how much weight loss to expect in a month. That is a question the brand has to answer honestly and carefully.
The post-purchase load is enormous and it is the most-asked thing in the whole account. "Where is my order?" leads every other question. Order enquiry ran to over 4,500 chats and order tracking to over 4,000, over 8,500 chats, a third of all volume, about where a package is: plus over 1,000 cancellations. The recorded theme names it: order status and payment confirmation delays create trust risk.
The objections underneath are operational, not conversational: COD not showing for a shopper's area, delivered-but-not-received complaints, and missing items with no direct resolution path.
- “Where is my order?”
- “Gut health”
- “I want to cancel my order”
- Uncertainty about results timing and how much weight loss to expect in a month
- COD not showing as available for a shopper's area
- Delivered-but-not-received complaints and missing items with no direct resolution path
Solution: put the agent where the customer already is
WhatsApp AI became the largest channel by volume, bigger than the website. For an Indian repeat-purchase consumable that is the correct outcome, and it is one most brands never engineer for because they treat WhatsApp as a support fallback rather than a sales surface.
That decision is what makes a 33.21% engagement rate possible. When the customer can ask on the channel she already uses, she asks, about the daily schedule, about whether it is safe with her thyroid medication, about where her order is.
The Website Agent carries storefront discovery, matching a described goal to a pack size, which matters because the monthly packs, not the trial sizes, are what a 30-day protocol actually needs.
Automation absorbs the tracking flood as a continuous thread rather than a stream of disconnected tickets, which is what let the brand keep serving over 14,000 discovery chats while nearly 9,000 people asked where their parcel was.
Strategy: how Blue Tea runs it now
Roughly 206 chats a day. Three patterns define the account.
Let WhatsApp become the largest channel. over 11,000 WhatsApp chats against over 10,000 on the website and over 4,500 on Instagram. Blue Tea sells a repeat-purchase consumable to an Indian audience, WhatsApp is the natural home of that relationship, and treating it as a first-class sales surface is what produced the highest engagement rate of any non-booking brand here.
Match the goal, then sell the protocol. Product Discovery led all intents at over 14,000 chats. The 120-bag monthly pack was among the most-discussed products on all 130 days of the window. The agent's job is to move a shopper from a described symptom to the pack size that matches a real 30-day course, not to a trial pack that will not produce a result.
Absorb the tracking flood so discovery can keep running. over 8,500 chats about order status and tracking, plus over 1,000 cancellations and 677 returns. At 84.99% resolution the overwhelming majority never reached a human, which is what made the pre-sale volume affordable to serve.

Steal this playbook
- 01
Treat WhatsApp as a sales channel in India, not a support fallback
It became the largest surface at 42.6% of volume.
- 02
Sell the protocol, not the trial
A described symptom should map to a 30-day pack.
- 03
Absorb order tracking before it eats your pre-sale capacity
A third of all chats were about a parcel.
- 04
Answer the timing question honestly
"How much weight loss in a month" is the objection. A careful answer builds more trust than an optimistic one.
- 05
Fix the COD availability signal
Shoppers were blocked by an option that did not show for their area; that is a checkout problem the agent surfaced.
Questions about this deployment
Behavioral intelligence that knows exactly when to engage. We've seen a clear bump in cart completions since implementing it.
